For in vitro quantitative determination of  PT in human plasma.
CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
It is mainly used for the screening of exogenous coagulation system function defects and the monitoring of oral anticoagulant therapy.
ASSAY PRINCIPLE 
Adding excessive tissue thrombin and calcium ions to the plasma to be tested turns prothrombin into thrombin, and thrombin converts fibrinogen into fibrin clot, and the time required for clotting is measured, which is the plasma to be tested Prothrombin time (PT). PT is negatively correlated with the content of exogenous coagulation factors in plasma.
