For in vitro of  quantitative determination of  Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) in human blood.
CLINICAL  SIGNIFICANCE
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency is a genetic disease caused by gene mutation. The incidence of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency in men is higher than that in women because of X-linked incomplete dominant inheritance. G-6-PD deficiency is an inducement of hemolysis of primary aminoquinoline drugs. Vicia faba disease, neonatal pathological jaundice, some of the main causes of infectious anemia. The screening of this index can effectively prevent the occurrence of hemolysis. It is of great significance to premarital physical examination and prenatal examination for eugenics and effective prevention of neonatal jaundice.
