p63 is a homolog of the tumor suppressor p53. It has been found to be a sensitive and specific marker of myoepithelial and basal cell populations in prostate, breast, skin, and salivary gland. Add the primary antibody to bind the antigen on tissue sections, and then use HRP labeled secondary antibody binding primary antibody to form the secondary antibody-primary antibody-antigen complex. When DAB chromogenic solution is added, HRP reacts with enzyme substrate to produce brown insoluble reaction product, which indirectly indicating the existence of antigen.
