Suggested Safe and Seals pressure inflation of the LMA cuff: 42-60cmH2O.
Exceed cuff pressure(>60cmH 2 O)
Cause: Sore throat, dysphagia; Hypoglossal nerve palsy caused dysarthria and difficulty of eating; and even the difficulty of breathing due to tongue retraction.
Low pressure inflation (<42cmH 2 O)
Cause: Non-effective seals, patient is in the risk of aspiration; Non-effective airway, patient is in the risk of hypoxia.
