Advantage
The COVID-19 test kit for layperson use by NINGBO LVTANG BIO can be used for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigen in human nasal swabs with high sensitivity and specificity.
Intended Use
This product is used for qualitative detection of  SARS-CoV-2 antigen in human nasal swab samples. For those with a history of exposure, but no symptoms and symptoms of coronavirus pneumonia disease, screening should be performed at the initial stage of symptoms (0 to 7 days) after infection.The SARS-CoV-2 virus belongs to the β genus. COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infectious disease. People are generally susceptible. Currently, the patients infected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus is the main source of infection; asymptomatic infected people can also be an infectious source. Based on the current epidemiological investigation, the incubation period is 1 to 14 days, mostly 3 to 7 days. The main manifestations include fever, fatigue and dry cough. Nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, myalgia and diarrhea are found in a few  cases.This produc provides preliminary test results. A negative result does not preclude infection with a SARS-CoV-2 virus and is not used as the sole basis for treatment or other management decisions. 
The kit is intended for layperson use and for people age 7 years or above, children 7-14 years of age should be tested by an adult (over 18 years old). People over 65 years of age should seek help with the test.
 
Sensitivity, Specificity and Accuracy
Nasal Swab:
A total of  446 various types of samples are tested. Compared with the COVID-19 Coronavirus Real Time PCR Kit (RT-PCR), the SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Detection Kit (Colloidal Gold Method) (See below Table for details)shows Sensitivity: 95.50% (95% CI:90.40%-97.90%), Specificity:98.70% (95% CI: 96.80%-99.50%), Accuracy: 97.80% (95% CI:95.90%-98.80%).
