Malaria is a parasitic disease that is transmitted by infected Anopheles mosquitoes. It is also possible to pass the disease via blood transfusions and congenitally. Symptoms of malaria include chills, fever, headache, muscle pain, sweating, vomiting, convulsion, and potentially even coma and death. Plasmodium falciparum is the species usually associated with more severe symptoms while other Plasmodium species are often associated with uncomplicated malaria. It is widespread in tropical and subtropical regions, including much of Sub- Saharan Africa, Asia and the Americas and can easily be prevalent throughout the year.
The Kit used to qualitative determination of plasmodium falciparum (P.f) antigen that exists in the venous blood, for auxiliary diagnosis or screening patients with suspected falciparum in malaria area.
